- Coordinate and implement culturally appropriate initiatives, programs and resources in areas of stress management, alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, nutrition, and healthy relationships;
- Oversee the coordination of large-scale programs (i.e. Love Your Body Week, Wellness Expo, etc.);
- Engage campus partners, including Academic Affairs, New Student and Diversity Programs, Residential Life, and the library to develop workshops, training materials and other educational resources and programs that advance health literacy, well-being, and community discourse;
- Develop and maintain a trackable assessment system to evaluate the effectiveness of healthy campus initiatives.
- Collaborate with other members of the Student Life to provide mentorship and support to students at risk, including first generations students, and students returning from leave;
- Support culturally appropriate program development in areas of sexual misconduct, bystander intervention and healthy workplace environment;
- Support Student Health Center during student health emergencies and other urgent situations.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in public health/mental health related fields.
- Proven track record (5-7 years) in designing and implementing programs that include educational awareness, training, and facilitation in areas of multicultural awareness and multicultural organizational development, and health and wellness promotion;
- Experience in presenting to and facilitating conversations with diverse audiences.
- Experience providing mentoring and support programs to populations at risk.
- Excellent oral and written English. Chinese competency preferred;
- Ability to articulate a foundational understanding of multicultural awareness, knowledge and skills within the context of higher education, and more specifically within the context of our unique Sino-US educational partnership;
- Understanding of the college student developmental model, and ability to apply the theory when facilitating a dialogue, or mentoring students;
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills, attention to details, and ability to perform independently as well as to collaborate with a team;
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing priorities and fluctuating workloads;
- Master of Microsoft Office applications – Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is preferred.
