  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the NPI process, according to APQP TE methodology LEANPD.
  • Act as quality interface until the product and process release is achieved for targeted customers, identifying customer specific requirements, and assuring conformance and customer satisfaction. Ensure that PRD (product requirements document) is complete and ensure completeness in accordance with project plan. Ensure that key, critical or special characteristics are defined in accordance customer requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in all Design Reviews and Gate Reviews “PAC meetings” and aligns with the project plan.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering in the DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), or any other product risk analysis methodologies, and ensure DFMEA is complete according to project plan.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering on NPI projects regarding the activities for the design, verification and/or validation of products to assure the quality requirements are fulfilled. Ensure DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Results) is complete and on track per project plan.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Development Engineering by leading and participating in the PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and/or other risk analysis methodologies such as DFM/DFA (acronym), to proactively identify potential quality risks and provide recommendations for improvement. Ensure completeness of PFC (Process Flow Chart) and PFMEA in accordance to project plan.
  • Develop and implement quality control methods to ensure new product introduction meets quality requirements and to identify, prevent, and mitigate potential quality issues, by:
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Development Engineering in releasing the measuring systems listed in control plan by defining the necessary measurement system analysis (MSA), and ensuring that the results are comprehensive and satisfactory, in alignment with the project plan.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Development Engineering in releasing the production equipment and tools, by defining necessary capability studies or any other validation methodology, and ensuring that the results are comprehensive and satisfactory, in alignment with the project plan.
  • Ensure release of external components before approval of final product is initiated.
  • Work closely and attend with Manufacturing Development Engineering and/or Operations the internal release of run@rate process.
  • Ensure completeness and adequacy of customer release documents such as First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports, Production Part Approval Process (PPAPs), Part Submission Warrant (PSWs), or any other customer release documents. Ensure that Start of Production (SoP) is initiated after obtaining approval from targeted customers.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and develop corrective and preventive action plans to address quality issues before project closure, using advanced problem-solving techniques, such as 8D methodology, Six Sigma, Shainin Red X.
  • Support Scrap Management initiatives together with the project management team.
  • Conduct ad-hoc audits and assessments of the NPI projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance overall quality.
  • Ensure a smooth handover of projects from Development to Sustaining. Work closely with Operations with the aim of zero customer complaints until project closure.
What your background should look likeEducational Degree
Engineer with university degree or equivalent with subject area: electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or degree in physics
Professional Experience (years in what processes and functions would be ideal)
  • 5+ years experience in Engineering and Project assignments
  • It would be a plus experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing Operation (Quality Engineer in Operations or Quality Supervisor)

✓Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically
✓Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
✓Specialized and profound knowledge in electronics, physics, mechanics, metal and plastics
✓Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, Automotive Core Tools APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP and other risk analysis standards)
✓Strong knowledge of quality management standards as VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, ISO 9001
✓Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers
✓Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
✓Good English knowledge, verbal and in writing (also for presenting)
