As a Web Chapter Lead, you will not only focus on product development but also play a key leadership role in guiding and growing a team of engineers. You will work with your squad to finalize end-to-end solutions, deliver cutting-edge products for the Bank's digital channels, and ensure the professional growth of your team members. You will need to foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement while staying updated with the latest software technologies and sharing your knowledge.The team is responsible for building user-centric native and web-based digital banking applications for use by both internal Bank's staff and external Bank's customers around the world. You will be working with highly skilled engineers on iOS, Responsive front-end web platforms, and get to work in modern software development environments and practices. The individual is going to be part of agile team developing world class leading mobile banking. - Guide and mentor engineers to become better developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Provide architectural guidance and promote best practices in software development.
- Lead by example in coding, design, and problem-solving.
- Ensure the team delivers high-quality, maintainable, and testable codebases.
- Strong knowledge of ReactJS, with a focus on best practices and design principles.
- Optimize web applications and user experience for responsiveness and performance.
- Gather requirements, design, develop, deploy and support applications
- Work closely with Product Owner and Scrum teams to deliver user-centric solutions for internal and external customers
- Promote adoption and rollout of Agile and modern software engineering practices
- Promote and practice innovative software engineering practices and architecture design
- Co-ordinate with development/interfacing teams and create a delivery pipeline across multiple streams
- Ensure risks, issues and schedules are appropriately managed following agile principles.
- Collaborate with core DevOps and Testing teams to build and enhance a continuous delivery pipeline
- Adapt to changes in priorities and requirements
- Hands-on experience in developing web applications with ReactJS and Typescript.
- Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Strong experience with state popular libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux, React Router, SCSS, NextJS).
- Strong experience with mobile hybrid architecture, WebView and JS bridge.
- Strong understanding of API integration.
- Comfortable with practicing TDD (Test-Driven Development) and pair programming.
- Experience in evaluating new front-end methodologies and technologies.
- Solid understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
- Experience in maintaining applications, crash analytics, remote debugging, and continuous integration.
- Proficient in DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design, unit testing and UI testing techniques.
- Understanding the iOS system and programming paradigm including OOP, TDD, reactive patterns and dependency management.
- Knowledge of runtime security for web applications (Pen Test).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- BS or MS in Computer sciences or Software engineering with 5 years of relevant experiences, preferably within an international technology organization in delivering complex projects
- Proven experience in iOS, Android or Flutter development.
- Proficiency in other programming languages (e.g., Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Python, Rust, Ruby or Java).
- Full software development lifecycle experience
- DevOps toolchain experience (ADO, JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Vx )
- TDD, BDD, performance and Security testing for mobile and web
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
