Associate Expert, New Science Frontiers (Biology)

Responsibilities * Project management
  • Initiate project proposals, identify cutting-edge topic and make proposals regarding novel concepts in new scientific frontiers, aiming for generate novel knowledge and models for translational innovations.
  • Oversee all stages from project framing to implementation till closing, coordinate colleagues and partners from different hubs, work together to establish project strategy and timeline, set up milestones, and regularly conduct milestone checks to ensure project progress and on time delivery.
  • Manage project budget properly, build up pre-budget plan ahead of activities and ensure effective allocation of resources with proper phasing.
  • Biological Experiments
  • Establish related model and conduct biological experiments according to project requirements, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of experimental data.
  • Data Interpretation
  • Organize and clean data with good documentation, according to global data management strategy.
  • Draw conclusion based on proper data interpretation and integrated analysis of biological and clinical data, leveraging bioinformatics or medical statistics skills when applicable.
  • Build comprehensive project presentation, including research findings, analysis results, and project progress to share to key stakeholders.
  • Communication
  • Present key findings and scientific concepts through internal and external communications, effectively conveying key information to diverse stakeholders.
Requirement:
  • A PhD or equivalent degree in biology, medical or related fields, with at least 5-yr proven-track experience in academic or bio-pharmaceutical industry, training related to skin biology research is preferred.
  • Experience in bioinformatics analysis or medical statistics analysis is highly preferred.
  • Experience in applying AI in interdisciplinary fields or integrating biological and clinical data analysis is a plus.
  • A sounding record of scientific accomplishment documented by international peer-reviewed publications
  • Be proficient in cell biology and molecular biology with strong hands-on expertise, strong methodology development skills
  • Familiar with current advancement and trend of technologies in cell biology, molecular biology and multi-omics technologies.
  • Experienced in project management. Multi-tasking capability to manage several activities in parallel with respect to established schedules and deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese. Professional presentation skills and effective communication capability in a multidisciplinary environment are essential
  • High self-motivated, result and detail oriented, analytical and innovation thinking, strong organizational and mature interpersonal skills, collaborative spirit in a fast-paced, team-oriented research environment are required.
