Description:This person is accountable for all aspects of strategic planning for APAC Aftermarket business. Will bring data driven insights, through a deep understanding of our customers, competitors, markets and our offerings, ensure the APAC business continues to outperform the market. He/she will also be the catalyst for creative business models (e.g., partnerships) for our core business and adjacent opportunities (e.g., BTI's) in the region. Leads all planned and ad-hoc strategic marketing projects in region. Also participates in global marketing or business development activities.Primary Responsibilities:Primary accountability for all aspects of Strategic Planning for APAC After Market business, which includes but not limited to:Strategic Growth Plan: Regularly refine the growth plan: including analysis of market trends, threats, opportunities, setting business investment priorities, developing strategic initiatives and milestone planning, building financial forecast, and socializing and communicating the plan. Accountable for follow-through in ensuring that growth actions are reflected in the Annual Operating Plans (AOP).Management Operating Systems: Support business MOS; Drive short-term growth by coordinate short-term growth projects and provide marketing support to ensure execution, such as retrofits, Modifications and Upgrades (RMUs); Drive the APAC Flight Hours forecast and analysis monthly MOS. Prepare business review materials.Business Analysis: Conduct Market-back Reports to senior leadership that analyze market erosion and growth; recommend strategies to claw back and drive revenue and operating income. Conduct market tracking with sales operations and demand forecasting teams to track short-term market health and dynamics and understand likely impact on the business, and run the Leading Indicators process for the Airline CBT.Regional Growth Initiatives: Support the regional growth ideation/incubation process with marketing framework and market study. Lead the MOS for Honeywell China Corp Pudong Funding allocation and implementation process to accelerate innovation to first revenue. Instigate business development activities for key BTI initiatives in APAC market environment (IMU, Coating, mVCS, etc).Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Technical or related disciplines
  • 16+ years experience in or a combination of Marketing Management, Product Management, Business Development, Engineering
  • Experience in the Aviation or Aerospace industry, including Commercial Aviation, MROs, and their suppliers
Additional Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree/MBA preferred from top schools
  • Track record of improving growth rates and profitability for mature businesses
  • Financial acumen necessary for decision making on investment strategies and priorities
  • Proven ability to structure problems, and define and implement actions in ambiguous situations
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective communication, leadership and creativity
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate strategies and to translate those strategies into actions
  • Deep understanding of Commercial Aviation and their supply chain and the latest trends in the MRO space
Understanding of relevant product sets - both avionics and mechanical * Experience in Sales or Engineering
