Job DescriptionDanfoss Climate Solutions (DCS) is looking for Global Solutions Experts, Data Centers.In this position, you provide support to shape the current and future path of technologies, products, solutions, and services DCS develops for the fast-growing Data Center market. Based on your superior application knowledge and technical expertise in preferably Data Center applications, your support to our customers, end-users and internal stakeholders is creating our critical differentiator in the market.Together with our Global Data Center Solutions team and other internal stakeholders such as peers in System Engineering, Software Applications, as well as R&D in relevant product lines, Application Development Centers (ADCs), marketing, and dedicated sales teams, you contribute to Danfoss leading position in these markets.Although having a focus on your region, you will become part of a highly motivated, skilled, experienced and open-minded global team. The position requires close contact with customers, and colleagues in other locations. Hence domestic and international travel up to 25% may be required.Job Responsibilities
  • Thought Leader in the design of HVAC, hydronic balancing, heat recovery, and other current and future system applications in the Data Center Vertical. Focusing on improving the energy efficiency and sustainability of the industry and individual customers.
  • Ability to calculate relevant life cycle cost analysis and benchmarks to the next best alternative to demonstrate efficiency and ROI.
  • Build credibility by staying up to date with the latest technological trends and applying those to meet customers' needs.
  • Connects with a broad set of stakeholders both internally and externally to understand key market and application shifts.
  • Contribute to our Data Center portfolio analysis to expand DCS offerings.
  • Support related solution- and product developments activities in your own business unit or identified Danfoss product lines by providing application expertise to ensure the solutions meet necessary requirements and bring value to our customers and end users.
  • Support significant sales opportunities or field issues resulting from the Data Center focus.
  • Proficient in DCS products' features and benefits, showcasing applications and performance characteristics within a system design context by contributing to and using specific value selling propositions.
  • Manage system tests, in-house or at the customer's facility in line with the application project requirements for a successful outcome.
  • Utilize learnings to develop and provide Data Center application training for internal and external stakeholders and/or publish articles to showcase Danfoss technology leadership.
  • Represent DCS in technical committees and associations that develop relevant standards to ensure solutions developed by DCS are included.
Background & Skills
  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical-Electronics Engineering or similar field with 7+ years of relevant experience in HVACR industry, preferably related to Data Center applications
  • Prior experience within the Data Center space, air- or liquid cooling, white or/ and grey space applications is highly desirable
  • Experience with electronics control systems utilized in Data Centers Vertical is a plus
  • The ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders is required
  • Good presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively written and verbally, also in a cross-cultural environment
  • Positive and open-minded, being a team player with a structured and disciplined working approach
  • Self-driven and goal oriented Get-it-Done working attitude
  • Strong language skills in English is a must, ability to speak other languages is a plus but not required
