Your RoleAs a Gensler Assistant Design Manager, you will leverage your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client projects on time and on budget. This position will base in Shanghai.If you have workplace experience for professional service will be a plus.What You Will DoWork together with other design manager and senior design manager to well manage the project and resourcesImplementing one or more projects through the management of project teamsManaging all phases of projects, including project set-up, programming, design, and construction administrationEstablishing and maintaining ongoing, productive client relationshipsManaging project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets, project set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultantsTracking the financial performance of projectsPreparing project proposal, negotiating fees and contracts for projectsCoordinating bidding processEnsure projects conform to contractCreating and communicating clear and attainable project objectives and project requirementsAnd any other related responsibility as assignedYour Qualifications5 + years of related experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager role on various project typesProfessional degree (Masters or Bachelor) in Architecture/Interior Design from an accredited program; Licensure is a plusStrong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skillsAbility to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships and develop a networkAbility to handle difficult situations with tact, grace and styleExperience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teamsExperience with recruiting, mentoring and coaching talent. Highly organized and responsiveStrong abilities in managing fees, schedules and staffingExtensive knowledge of design principles/practices, technical regulations, building code, standards and building structuresStrong client communication skillsBilingual in English, Chinese.Computer skills required: Microsoft Word and Excel and AutoCAD.
