- We are seeking skilled and driven Data Analyst to join our team in China. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in data discovery, business analytics and dashboard development, with hands-on experience in Python, SQL and SAS. A background in banking analytics and familiarity with data engineering concepts will be a strong advantage. Proficiency in English is required to support cross-border collaboration.
- Perform data discovery and analysis to uncover insights that drive business decisions
- Collaborate with Technology Partners to build unified datamarts (in datalake) to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards using MicroStrategy or Power BI
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
- Extract, Transform and Analyze data from various systems using Python, SQL and SAS
- Support implementation and monitoring of analytics use cases in SME Banking domain
- Liaise with global & regional teams to support data and reporting initiatives.
- Conduct business performance analysis, customer segmentation and campaign analysis.

- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Bachelor degree in Statistics , computer science , Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in banking or financial services sector , as a data analyst. (1 FTE
8 years and ability to lead).
- Strong programming and analytical skills , using Python, SQL and SAS
- Solid understanding of business analytics and KPIs in financial services
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
