About our group:Seagate's Customer Success organization includes the China C3 (China Cloud Computing) Lab, which is dedicated to customer application engineering (CAE). This lab supports Chinese customers by facilitating new product and technology qualifications, engaging in collaborative projects, and offering technical support and issue resolution.The customer application engineers at the C3 lab specialize in various applications such as Cloud, VIA (Video Image Application), NAS, and OEM customer technical support. The team consists of skilled and experienced engineers who work on advanced storage products, including high areal density HDDs, utilizing Seagate's cutting-edge HAMR technology. Our essential work ensures customer success by accelerating time-to-market, delivering technical solutions, and supporting technology deployment.About the role - you will:· Conduct/support new products Pre-Qualification, Joint Qualification and launch and sustaining.· Conduct/support storage application analysis, reports, issue and solution investigation.· Drive HDD product performance/reliability/compatibility improvement.· Transmit customer requirements to design team and meet customer expectations.· Generate optimizations to both internal teams and customers based on software/hardware study on both HDD and customer systems/applications.· Work closely with customer facing teams and other cross functional engineering teams to solve challenging product issues and accomplish projects with customers.About you:· A quick learner with excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to share knowledge.· Enthusiastic, self-disciplined, and innovative with strong logical and positive thinking.· Well versed in technical support/judgement & risk assessment.· Extensive expertise in storage device performance, mechanical or interface protocol domains.· Strong communication skills with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.· Good communication skills and teamwork capability.· Good at both Mandarin and English.Your experience includes:· Technical development or testing experiences in the storage industry, like firmware, software, operating system, system integration, or electronics/mechanical engineering.· Rich experience in storage devices (HDD/SSD) or server/storage systems and applications, with product engineering, failure analysis or customer technical support experience.· Programming skills with Python / C / Linux Shell and or other code languages/environmentYou might also have:· In-depth knowledge/experience in HDD related test process, FW, Quality/Reliability testing or new product introduction/qualification at customer end.· Some preferred additions including Linux Server and Linux IO stack related knowledge.· Extensive knowledge of AI.Location:Seagate first entered the Chinese market in 1995, and in the more than 20 years that followed, has committed itself to remain at the forefront in the innovation and development in the country's storage industry.
