Welcome to Bosch.Job Description§ Research and pre-development of PEM fuel cell stack technology and/or electrolyzer technology in close collaboration with international teams§ Focus is on developing new product concept with differentiating properties and unique selling points.§ Scouting, identifying, benchmarking and tracking of new trends and emerging technologies in China, derive impacts on company research strategy and identify key partners.§ Establish relationship with university professors, industrial companies and experts.§ Specialty PEM fuel cell and/or electrolyzer technology:§ Design fuel cell stack / electrolyzer concepts in cooperation with suppliers of key materials and components.§ Evaluation performance and key components by experiment.§ Identifying failure mechanism and cause-effect relationship§ Improve performance with new design or applying of new materials, components.Qualifications§ PhD degree in material science, chemistry, or polymer science with strong knowledge of organic chemistry or polymer science.§ At least 3-year experience in the field of Fuel Cells, electrolysis or other electrochemical systems§ Ability to design work packages and develop innovative concepts or solutions for scientific questions.§ Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written)§ Initiative and ability to lead research projects§ Efficient, result-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work§ Strong team player and passion for innovation
