Job descriptionSome careers have more impact than others.If you're looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join HSBC and discover how valued you'll be.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.Business: WPB Regional TechPrincipal responsibilitiesThe job holder will have to perform the following duties in WPB STAFF CHANNELS & SELF SERVICE application:
  • Lead the design work for Express Bank/Kiosk, ATM & Switch and provide engineering solutions (SDD) for business requirement.
  • Work closely with application engineers to dsign the soluiton within Self Service Framework.
  • Collaborate with architects to ensure integration fully align with HSBC Standard.
  • Partner with production support engineers to work out rapid soluiton if required.
  • Updates with industrial latest knowledge to enrich solution with latest technology.
  • Applied innovation to facilitate smart business operations.
  • Ensure the platforms meet all Non- Functional Requirement
  • Guide developer on the engineering approaches to the solution.
  • Converge existing platforms into the new architecture
  • Work closely with Global infrastructure and engineering team to build the solution
Technical insight on group and industry technology trend and strategy and good product visionRequirements
  • Strong analytical, design, development and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent solution/integration design capability with ability to work under pressure with different stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a DevOps focused environment and working in an Agile Team
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English
  • Experience in React, CPP, C#, Java Springboot, DB2, Oracle development and API experience
  • Experience working with modern architectures (e.g. automation, cloud-based, microservices-based) in a DevOps environment is highly desirable
Strong technical vision and insight to build best in class technical productsWhat additional skills will be good to have?
  • Experience developing application solution/performance testing framework for supporting financial business.
  • Solid knowledge of external cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, or Ali Cloud
  • Experience working in a variety of solution designer roles is highly desirable.
  • Experienced in AS400, Windows technologies is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of industry standard such as card scheme (Visa/MasterCard), chip card standard and XFS etc.
