The Procurement Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities related to diary and raw material sourcing for our FMCG company.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies for diary and raw material sourcing in line with the company's objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for diary products and raw materials, ensuring they meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and availability of diary products and raw materials.
  • Negotiate and establish favorable terms and conditions with suppliers/vendors, including pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements.
  • Monitor supplier/vendor performance, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon terms and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to ensure smooth procurement operations and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the supply chain for diary products and raw materials, identifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry standards related to diary products and raw materials, ensuring compliance in procurement activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers/vendors, fostering long-term partnerships and exploring opportunities for collaboration and innovation.

  • Proven experience (at least 8-10 years) in procurement, specifically in diary and raw material sourcing within the FMCG industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of diary products and raw materials, including market trends, quality standards, and sourcing xxx practices.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successfully securing favorable terms and conditions with suppliers/vendors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive process improvements.
  • Demonstrated management skills, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/vendors.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the FMCG industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
