LSEG Workspace Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer to support development within the China Self‑Reliance project, with a focus on building and enhancing WPS Add‑on integrations for the Workspace Platform. The engineer will collaborate with senior team members to develop new features, improve performance, and ensure compliance with platform quality, security, and performance standards. This role is ideal for engineers who are eager to grow in complex enterprise‑grade development environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance WPS Add‑ons using TypeScript, Node.js, and Office.jsDeliver high‑quality code that aligns with platform security, performance, and compliance standardsWork closely with cross‑functional and cross‑location teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutionsParticipate in CI/CD processes, automated testing, and code reviewsInvestigate and debug issues, propose solutions, and contribute to continuous improvementSupport performance tuning, profiling, and optimization under guidance from senior engineersStay up to date with new techniques, tools, and best practices relevant to WPS and add‑on developmentRequired Skills & Experience3–5 years of hands‑on software development experienceStrong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.jsUnderstanding of Office.js, Office APIs, or experience developing add‑ons or plug‑insFamiliarity with microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud environments (Azure preferred)Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Git‑based workflowsStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and technical problem‑solving skillsGood communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environmentPreferred QualificationsBasic experience with C/C++ development or working with native integration modulesExperience with Linux application development, especially on ARM CPU architectureUnderstanding of performance tuning or memory optimizationExposure to cross‑platform development or interest in Office add‑on ecosystemsCareer Stage: Senior AssociateLondon Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Information:Join us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
