- Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers, Architecture, Application and Platform, Service Delivery teams to initiate, plan, implement and deploy initiatives (programs, projects, pilots and POCs); including the budgetary and quality control activities associated with the initiatives.
- Guide the delivery team through the cross-functional Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) and leverage best practices to continuously improve and institutionalize the PDLC and best practices.
- Identify and support for the development, measurement and reporting of Project Delivery Life Cycle and Demand Management processes.
- Coordinate the program/project budget and general health of the Program/Project Portfolio
- Understand technical capabilities of underlying back-end systems.
- Keep up to date with new Software Development technologies, best practices, and trends.
- Coach teams in the best practices and tools required for successful project management.
- Work with business stakeholders and DLT team members to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
- Lead project execution (plan, coordinate and track all phases). Related activities include:
- Support the RFP process.
- Negotiate and manage project scope, time, budget, and quality per business needs.
- Coordinate all necessary activities inside and outside team/department to deliver Statement of Work (SOW) involving Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and secure charter approval.
- Develops WBS, manages execution, and identifies and resolves issues.
- Analyze project performance by tracking specific KPIs and propose improvements.
- Communicate project status and phases with all stakeholders.
- Train and/or support development team on Agile processes
- Support OCM as necessitated by a specific project/program.
- Ensure project closure by managing transition to operations and documenting lessons learned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other with related work experience.
- 5+ years of related work experience in IT and business/industry.
- One to three years (or more) of leadership responsibility for large, cross-functional projects, including influencing key stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex change initiatives in large organizations.
- Experience working in a global/multi-national organization in a shared service organization.
- Experience in leading large, geographically distributed, and diverse teams.
- Experience in the development and management of IT processes, specifically, project management processes and software development life cycle.
- Experience in IT Budget and Cost Management.
- Relevant certifications, licenses, or registrations such as: PMI (preferred, focused on PMP); Agile-related certification; ITSM (preferred, focused on ITIL or COBIT); Domain-specific technology certifications.
