As a Sustainability Specialist, the position holder will be responsible for driving and executing the organization's sustainable development strategies and goals to achieve a balance between the environment, society, and the economy in the region. The Sustainability Specialist for APAC will be responsible to identify and deploy sustainability initiatives in the APAC region aligned with the WTS Global Sustainability Strategy. He /she will be the key point of contact in the region for Sustainability development topics and needs.As part of the role, the Sustainability Specialist will also participate in VWTS Global Sustainability programs and become the reference for some of them.Primary Responsibility：Develop a local action plan for sustainability development aligned with the regional priorities and the company global strategy. Develop, implement and manage the detailed action plans, policies and procedures to reduce environmental impact, enhance social influence and promote economic sustainability, ensure the alignment with the organization's mission and values.Research and analyze current industry practices, regulations,and standards to ensure the organization's sustainable practice comply with relevant requirements.Oversee the organization's environmental management system, including energy usage, waste management, carbon emissions,and provide recommendations for improvement.Organize the decarbonisation strategy of VWTS assets in the region and follow up its implementation.Participate in the improvement of the Sustainability Value Delivery process to customers helping to implement standardization of value measurement tools and processes.Establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and communities, to drive the achievement of sustainability goals.Conduct sustainability training and education activities to raise awareness and engagement both internally and externally.Monitor and report the organization's sustainability performance, including key indicators, goal attainment, and progress towards long-term sustainability objectives.Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in sustainability, and actively seek opportunities to innovate and implement new sustainable initiatives within the organization.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, such as environmental science, sustainability, or business management.Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainable practices, and industry standards.Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.Passion for sustainability and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and society.Ability to inspire and motivate others towards sustainable practices and behaviors.Please enable JavaScriptScreen readers cannot read the following searchable map.
