Evaluation of strength & reliabilities of materials, including glass and glass-like brittle materials.
Development of new methods to characterize materials strength & reliabilities.
Support development of new materials, products & processes with improved performance including strength, reliabilities, and manufacturing cost.
Support manufacturing and customer problems solving activities.

Key skills required:

Solid background in fundamentals of mechanics, strength of materials, structural mechanics, fracture mechanics, reliability theory.
Hands-on in designing and performing experiments independently, data collection/interpretation/analysis.
Good communication skill, good at working with people of diverse background.
Experience with glass or brittle materials reliabilities is a strong plus.
