We are looking for a Design Teacher for a bilingual school based in Beijing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 academic year in August 2026.About the schoolThe Shunyi campus in Beijing offers a bilingual, internationally minded learning environment with a strong IB focus, designed to help students think independently, collaborate confidently, and engage with the world beyond the classroom. With a community that brings together both Chinese and international educators, the school emphasizes global perspectives, inquiry-led learning, and strong pastoral support, while maintaining high academic expectations. It serves nearly 2,000 students and has around 400 faculty made up of both domestic and international teachers.About the roleSupport students in developing creativity, innovation, and real-world problem-solving skills through design thinking, hands-on making, and purposeful use of digital tools.Job details

Teach the MYP Design curriculum, blending technology, coding, and practical design projects
Lead students through the full design cycle from inquiry and ideation to prototyping, testing, and evaluation
Build a classroom culture that values collaboration, creativity, and perseverance when tackling challenges
Ensure a safe, well-organized, and engaging environment in workshops and labs
Work closely with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning experiences, projects, and exhibitions

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Technology, Engineering, or related field
Experience teaching MYP Design or equivalent international curriculum
Passion for hands-on, project-based learning and fostering creativity

Salary and benefits

Monthly salary of 30,000 to 35,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
