1. Manage Product Quality and Performance: As the product owner in supply chain, the manufacturing engineer manages the product operation performance (quality, delivery, and cost), provide technical support to day-to-day product issues and leads a cross functional team to drive continuous product performance improvement, which includes
o As the WW product quality owner, perform regular analysis on product external quality data (defect on arrival, annual failure, customer feedback& escalation, etc.) and make continuous product quality improvement.
o Manage internal production quality (Turn-on-rate, Line incidence, etc.) and ensure right quality system in place.
o Work together with cross function teams to drive delivery performance improvement.
o Work together with cross function teams to drive product cost reduction.
2. Redesign product to enhance product performance: As the product technical owner after release, initialize the product redesign to enhance product performance, resolve critical quality issues, optimize product cost structure, improve production efficiency, and so on.
3. Drive DFX and develop manufacturing process and test for new product: Participate in new product development and responsible for the development of product manufacturing process, assembly fixture/tooling and test system. Drive DFX review with cross function teams to enhance product performance.
4. Develop special solutions to meet customer needs: work together with marketing and field people to understand customer special requirement and develop special solutions for customer.
5. Participate or act as co-developer in digital/automation projects to drive the transformation to smart factory
6. Technical Lead – A Mfg Engineer may be assigned as the technical lead to lead team achieve breakthrough on key technology of product/manufacturing process, and develop technical solution in critical customer quality issue, NPI, VE and other projects.QualificationsThe required qualifications are as below:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 1 year or above working experience in R&D and manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated broad knowledge of manufacturing operations including supply chain management, product quality management, analytical skills in total cost analysis, statistics, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage program/project.
- Knowledge in electronic principle is a strong plus.
- Experience with pneumatic, motor system or robot is a plus.
- Good digital skills, for example, data analysis, design for automation, and etc;
- Good English in writing, reading, and speaking.
