You will be part of a growing team of technical subject matter experts who are passionate about driving technology incubations enhancing the customer experience. In this role you are part of a global interdisciplinary design and technology organization where you will be collaborating with teammates, product engineering, marketing, corporate sustainability and other critical stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for technology, an open mind, and a desire to continuously learn new things. The primary focus of this role is to develop data driven strategies and decision making guiding our technology roadmaps. Come help us make a difference driving solutions which enhancing the design of our products, the possibilities are endless.You will:Influence ID/CMF selections during notebook products concept phase at a material and product level. Define approved solutions based on the product design and the technology capabilityDrive technology incubations and roadmap for assigned incubations related to new finish technologies, material technologies or process technologyConduct NUDD investigations, related to design, as required to meet design objectives during concept phase for new products.Create strategic engagements with our external technology suppliers and partners. Able to influence their technology roadmaps to align with DELL's computer objectivesBecome the SME for assigned technology area, such as coatings or anodizing processTake the first step towards your dream career

Here’s what we are looking for with this role:Essential Requirements8+ years CMF working experience on notebook/PC/laptop/computer productFluent English skill, co-work with global teamKnowledgeable in coating technology, material technology or anodizing processBackground partnering with suppliers to resolve technical barriers and identifying those barriers. Able to tackle complex problems and work through the solutionsAbility to work in and be successful in highly matrixed organization structures to develop strong relationships with key stakeholdersLead understanding of latest CMF technologies and the applicability to DELL’s roadmapAbility to drive engineering rigor and best practices within the teamExperience in product development and passionate about technology developmentSuccessfully able excel in environments with ambiguity.Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Manufacturing Engineering or ChemistryDesirable RequirementsExperience with DELL's product development cycle with a passion to bring new technologies from idea to realityExperience with typical finishes used for electronics: Paint, Anodizing, etcExperience working in electronics supply chain in an ODM modelWho we areWe believe that each of us has the power to make an impact.
