You will be as a P&L owner of the factory.about the job.The Plant General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operations at the production facility. This role is critical in ensuring the plant operates efficiently, meets quality standards, and adheres to all regulatory requirements.
- Operational Leadership: Direct and manage all aspects of the plant's daily operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics. Ensure that the plant operates at optimal efficiency and productivity.
- Production Management: Develop and implement production schedules and processes to meet the company's output goals. Monitor production lines to ensure that products are manufactured according to specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to maintain and improve product quality. Ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Cost Control: Manage the plant's budget and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising product quality or employee safety. Implement cost-saving measures and monitor their effectiveness.
- Safety and Compliance: Uphold a culture of safety within the plant and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production managers, supervisors, and staff. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure a steady flow of raw materials and timely delivery of finished products. Coordinate with other departments to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve plant operations, including the adoption of new technologies, process improvements, and equipment upgrades. Monitor industry trends and best practices to maintain the plant's competitive edge.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the plant's annual budget. Regularly review financial performance and make strategic decisions to improve profitability.
- Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the plant and corporate headquarters. Communicate effectively with senior management, stakeholders, and external partners.
- A strong background in plant management, preferably within the beverage industry
- A proven track record of leading teams to achieve production goals
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in plant or operations management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the beverage industry.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry standards.
- Proven ability to manage complex operations and achieve production and cost objectives.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proficient in using manufacturing software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
- English and Chinese can be used as working languages.
