- Accumulates solid knowledge base for Caterpillar products/service segments and Cat end-to-end business model.
- Collects and analyzes strategic level competitive intelligence, economic and political environment/ trends related to our business portfolio in China.
- Performs complex qualitative and quantitative research for S&P engagements using advanced research knowledge and techniques for a business segment to derive key S&P trends, insights and conclusions.
- When needed, manages consulting projects including determines research strategy, leads and oversees data collection and analysis and synthesize research findings as S&P recommendations for a business segment.
- Identifies opportunities, critical issues/ strategic improvement opportunities related to end-to-end CAT business model in China.
- Drive/facilitate solution development and collaboration projects across different BUs/functions.
- Host / facilitate China Country level governance process for initiatives /projects cross-BUs in nature, govern and support the execution of solutions.
- Designs the organization's planning processes and decision-making channels.
- Explains business issues and trends of own business unit as compared to other business units.
- Demonstrates a big picture understanding of the business, its interrelationships, and priorities.
- Demonstrates strong foundation of business fundamentals, measurement, and business finance.
- Develops business cases for own function; reviews and critiques cases for other functions.
- Explains advantages and risks of using business simulations for critical business decisions.
- Directs strategic alliances and partnerships for mutual benefit.
- Makes sound business decisions on behalf of the group when faced with complex and contradictory
