Job summaryThe mission of the Foreign School Principal is to prepare Chinese students to attend prestigious international universities, such as those in the UK and US. The Foreign Principal will be employed at a boarding school for students from kindergarten to grade 12 located in Shanghai. Their role will involve collaborating with Chinese principals to oversee academic matters. Principal responsibilitiesAdministration of teaching affairs related to the international courses for high school sectorCo- work on curriculum developmentDevelopment of fusion courses, including British/American culture and contemporary approaches to learningDesigning and Overseeing teacher’s PD programmesCoordinating school’s international affairs, ie. student exchange, foreign expert visit, transnational academic cooperationWork together with colleagues in the United Kingdom and United States QualificationsFamiliarity with the UK/USA education systemExperience of senior administration within US/UK schools (at least 10 years)Principal/head teacher experience at one or multiple well-established US/UK schools is highly desiredKnowledge of the Chinese education system (desirable)Working experience in China (desirable) Salary and benefitsMonthly salary of 40,000 to 55,000 RMB depending on experience and qualificationsHousing allowance of 4,000 RMBEducation for up to 2 childrenPaid summer and winter holidaysPublic holidaysMedical health insurance
