As a UWB Application Engineer focused on the automotive market, you will provide expert technical support to customers integrating UWB technology into their automotive systems. Ensuring that UWB Digital key solutions and UWB Radar solutions are sucessfully integrated into the customer environement. Your role will involve working closely with FAE (Field Application Engineer), Engineering, product management, sales and customer teams to ensure the successful deployment of UWB Solutions. Your expertise in embedded Linux, C programming, Autosar and Automotive SW development will be critical in guiding customers through the integration process.Key Responsibilities:
- Offer in-depth technical assistance to automotive customers in the design and integration of UWB technology for thier UWB digital key solution (CCC, FiRa, ICCE, ICCOA) or UWB radar solution (Child Presence Detection, Kick-sensor, ...).
- Work with FAE and customer technical teams to understand their specific needs and develop customized UWB solutions, leveraging your expertise in embedded Linux, C programming, Autosar and Automotive landscape.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to UWB integration, including software, hardware, and system-level challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product management, and sales, to ensure alignment of customer needs and product capabilities.
- Stay informed on the latest trends and developments in UWB technology, Fira, CCC standards, and automotive communication protocols, sharing insights with the team to drive innovation.
- Academic Background
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. (master's degree preferred).
- Technical Expertise:
- Experienced Embedded SW engineer (
- Real time operating system deep knowledge (RTOS, Autosar and Automotive SW environement) including SPI operations, secure boot, flash access and profiling.
- Experience with Ultra-wideband standards (FiRa, CCC, ICCE, ICCOA), Bluetooth Low Energy and Channel Sounding is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with RF validation, debugging, and problem interpretation capability through PHY and MAC in UWB or similar wireless communication systems.
- Operational familiarity with standard test instrumentation including oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, multimeter, lab power supply, etc is an asset
- Professional Skills:
- Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated success in resolving complex technical challenges.
- Excellent technical communication skill (both written and verbal) with ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven track record of effective collaboration in multidisciplinary project teams.
- Flexibility for domestic travel to customer site as project demands require.
