- Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming spare parts, verifying against purchase orders and specifications.
- Organize and store spare parts in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling, accessibility, and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's inventory management system, conducting regular cycle counts and full physical inventories as required.
- Issue spare parts to authorized personnel based on approved requests, tracking usage and ensuring proper documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels, identifying reorder points and initiating purchase requisitions to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with procurement and maintenance departments to forecast spare part needs and optimize inventory holding costs.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damage, or obsolete parts, taking appropriate action for disposal or return.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the spare parts store.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Assist with other warehouse or logistics tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant vocational qualification is a plus.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in a storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with spare parts management principles and inventory control systems.
- Proficiency in using inventory software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
