- Consults with all departments on design and use of equipment, process, chemical and safety programs.
- Examines plans and specifications for new chemicals or process to define if all occupational hazard precautions have been included.
- Tours plant to inspect the facilities to identify and correct potential occupational hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health regulations and flex requirements.
- Define procedure of occupational hazard assessment, monitoring, control and continuous improvement
- Conducts or coordinates health training to educate workers about emergency response acknowledge, safety policies, laws and practices.
- Emergency treatment of minor injuries and guiding hospital treatment injuries or illness on communication, tracking, and work injury insurance application process.
- Join to investigates industrial accidents or illness to minimize recurrence and prepares reports.
- Conducts air quality tests for the facility and occupational hazard contact working position periodically. Conduct employees health monitoring for who at occupational hazard contact positions.
- In charge of identifying health and safety hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Serves as internal consultant to business units on ergonomics, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and chemical safety matters.
- Audits business units.
- Interfaces with outside vendors, contractors and engineers regarding facilities, chemicals and other workplace health and safety related matters.
- Compiles and submits data and documents for internal and external platform.
- Administers workers compensation, ISO45001 log and return to work program.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
- Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in EH&S or related position.
