- Lead China EM&S Team
- Be responsible of products supply continuity, anticipate potential issues (back-up, inventory, …) and develop & deliver action plan in case of unexpected rupture.
- Ensure high level of HSE and Quality at CMOs level in line with Sanofi standards and be accountable of CAPAs implementation after audits.
- Select appropriate CMOs as per Sanofi guidelines and drive continuous improvement at CMOs level (including through SMS deployment)
- Drive BD & M&A Topics
- Inorganic growth target is to bring 2B€ sales in China with 2 signed deals/year
- Drive all M&A and BD projects for EM&S in China, participate to due diligence and site visits & provide recommendations for Go/No Go decisions:
- Risk assessment,
- Business case review,
- Recommendations for mitigations, future sourcing, integration process & contract management,
- Ensure appropriate budget anticipation,
- Lead BD/M&A projects integration when network is CMOs-related.
- Lead all China CMO-related projects, and develop strategy to manage future CMOs
- Ensure launch readiness in China for products manufactured by CMO
- Lead all activities related to CMOs i) located in China, and ii) liaise with respective EM&S teams for CMO located outside China & associated business partners (Finance, Procurement, MSAT):
- Ensure, in collaboration with Procurement and EM&S operations, key commercial deal terms readiness for any TT activities and commercial activities
- Define budget and ensure budget adherence
- Provide and maintain proactive risk management and mitigation plans in launch preparation incl projection for supply ramp-up
- Ensure lean governance, performance measurements, associated communication, as well efficient accountability (using DAI model – Decision maker – Advisors – Informed stakeholders)
- Ensure appropriate coordination with all stakeholders, China launch leader, R&D, supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, internal sites, Commercial operations
- Support SPMS for Alma project in China and for any other SPMS project
- Guarantee the execution of China ALMA contract terms – is accountable for this part:
- Implement and Lead appropriate internal China Biopharma operational governance to properly control ALMA China activities under SPMS scope: production, and distribution activities until MAT
- Design appropriate dashboard and ensure regular reviews internally within M&S and externally with Opella
- Challenge teams on their progress, ensure alignment on the overall roadmap
- Ensure good alert system / escalation to senior leadership to prevent delays or bottlenecks
- Be actively part of the China ALMA committee, representing China M&S.
- Be ALMA China focal point for Central/Global ALMA teams and for Opella China
- Support SPMS project and commercial team for driving locally any new project (divestment or new SPMS activities)
- Strongly contribute to the CHINA SPMS Budget preparation and execution.
- Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or supply chain, with project knowledge
- Deep understanding of GMP, NMPA regulations, and global regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA, etc.).
- Proven experience managing complex CMO networks in China.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
