- Plan, organize, address, manage and/or implement all the activities regarding ESHQ in MUSC;
- Be responsible for the overall management and performance of ESHQ Team of MUSC and provide site overall performance report to site management for review and potential proposals;
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Chinese national laws and regulations, Shanghai local regulations and SCIP requirements for all ESHQ performances in MUSC;
- Develop and maintain MUSC ESHQ policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with Evonik ESHQ policies, guidelines and procedures;
- Maintain ESHQ management systems in operation including ESH goal & KPI, review and documentation in MUSC effectively and ensure conducting all internal and external ESHQ on-site inspections, reviews and audits timely;
- Communicate with employees and management of MUSC, Evonik organizations and local authorities regarding ESH issues. As a representative of management system for the MUSC site, to keep good cooperation and communication internally and externally;
- Supervise and ensure relevant safety management actions are implemented properly and timely about Identified major hazard installations;
- Overall assess ESH risk potential of hazardous in MUSC, like PHA study, significant environmental aspects, JSA, HRA, etc., and improve its management and implementation;
- Design and supervise ESHQ training for all levels of employees and/or including contractors and visitors in MUSC;
- Provide assistance to all emergency situations in MUSC; Be responsible for MUSC ESHQ budget, its control and asset optimization, and focus on rational reduction of site ESHQ costs continuously;
- Support upcoming investment projects to the MUSC site timely regarding ESHQ and Authority Engineering related issues;
- Maintain Responsible Care (RC) Program effectively in MUSC;
- Develop and implement ESHQ continuous improvement programs in all ESHQ areas (management system, environment protection, work and process safety, OH&IH, ESH training, fire-fighting support, emergency rescue, etc.), to improve ESHQ performance and to achieve targets required by management;
- Effectively manage and develop subordinates through coaching, promoting and team-working, and optimize work process of sub functions, maintain MUSC ESHQ Working Guideline and Working Load Plan;
- Perform duties as a member of Site Management Team
- Bachelor degree or above in Chemical, Safety, Environment Engineering or other engineering;
- Minimum 10 years of working experiences in ESH field, including about 3 years in an international company and worked at least 3 years for a junior management position with team
- It is recommended to have few years production and/or maintenance experiences;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skill, especially with authorities and under multi-culture environment;
- Excellent English skill, a plus with German language knowledge;
- Strong responsible for making decision, especially under critical situations;
- Solid priority setting and multi-tasking capabilities;
- Well motivated for continuous improvements;
