Your RoleWe are seeking Technical Designer to join an exciting, large-scale, mixed-use (including: commercial, residential, cultural, transit, retail, entertainment, hospitality, education, etc.) international project, offering the opportunity to be an integrated and active member of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, working alongside multiple Gensler offices. This role will sit in the Shanghai office.What You Will DoDevelop all phases of projects, including programming, consulting, strategy, conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and productionManage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation preparation and discipline coordination with structural, MEP, VT, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultantsSupport daily communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsProvide technical guidance and innovative solutions, including design resiliency expertise to resolve complex technical and design challengesDevelop and maintain project documentation, including drawings, project manuals and specificationsConduct and document site visits, prepare field reports, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during constructionYour QualificationsBachelor’s degree in architecture, Master's degree preferred3-8 years of related project experience, with a track record of successfully leading projects of varying scaleLEED accreditation a plusInternational Design Experience a plusFlexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of developmentStrong leadership, communication, and relationship management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding graphic presentation skillsProficiency in Revit, Rhinoceros, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.Life at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
