- Perform bringing up support, as well as debugging on internal and external reference and production designs, and provide solutions to customers
- Engage directly on key technical topics, issues, architecture discussions, and performance optimizations with customers and internal teams and steer of multi-party discussion to convergence
- Analytic ability to address technical issues and generate creative solutions
- On-site support to speed up issue closure to meet overall project schedule
- Working on any of the following (PCIe/Memory/CPU/Power Management/Platform and System Debug/RAS related failures) with customers to get problems resolved
- Collaboration with AMD global teams to identify best solutions
- Providing design and debug recommendations to customers for platform/system level related questions
- Utilizing scopes and/or protocol analyzers and/or JTAG debug tools to narrow down and root cause platform/system failures
- 5+ years of silicon/server/client product development experience
- Strong technical skills with extensive hands-on experiences in Hardware/Software platform design and system architecture
- Experience in working directly with customers and enabling them to production
- Leading collaborative technical discussions to drive resolution on technical issues and roll out technical initiatives
- Be able to work in a high demand, fast paced environment with lots of real-time problem solving and critical thinking
- Drive product platform debug efforts to identify root cause and resolution of AMD's Server SoC
- Working experience with computer hardware architecture (CPU/APU/GPU, x86, pcie, memory, bus logic) and software architecture (OS, driver, firmware development)
- Understanding of modern x86 microprocessor architecture and Server platform architecture
- Debug skills at both SoC and system level
- Experience of post silicon validation methodologies
- Hands on expereince of developing or validating of RAS (reliability, Availability and Serviceability) feature
- Familiarity with programming / scripting language (C/C++, Python, Shell, ...)
- Working knowledge of Server OSes (Linux, Windows Server)
- Self-organizing and the ability multitask based on priorities
- Must be a self-starting team player with excellent communication skills who can work with minimal guidance
- Working experience on memory domain is preferred.
