*Conducting market research to identify customer preferences, trends, and competitors, informing handbag development.
*Communicating effectively with design, suppliers, factories, teammates to ensure accurate information exchange.
*Closely monitor the seasonal development calendar and report progress to the Team Lead.(By brand By season)
*Upon rcv design package, verify the Development BOM and original sample with the factory before prototyping.
*Ensure design details are met and proactively identify potential issues before sample escalation.
*Approve all trim and accessory colors before proceeding with samples
*Monitor timelines, ensure on-time sample delivery, maintain trackers, and update the NY design team every week.
*Work with the material team and factory to track sample yardage/trims/accessories (purchase dates, lead times, receipt dates, etc.).
*Inspect samples with QC before shipment.
*Study design details with factory, provide cost saving options to NY design/production team align with Team lead.
*Flag any unreasonable prices (e.g. reorder increases, common silhouettes out of range) and review with the Regional Director for escalation as needed.
*Benchmark costs across vendors, ensuring accurate quotes with proper guidance.
*Support price negotiation in line with goals in coordination with Regional Director and NY Office guidance.
*Update the cost grid, ensure timeline achieved before Market week and order placement
*Diligently overseeing the confirmation sample in collaboration with the QA team,

*Proven working experience in merchandising
*Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising/design
*Up to date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices
*Knowledge of Handbag manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques
*Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulous
*Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
*Excellent verbal and written communications skills
