We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist
Business: IWPB TechnologyPrincipal responsibilities
  • Lead the architectural redesign of the global end-to-end framework - including backend API design, integration and orchestration framework, and frontend infrastructure - to support scalable and efficient future expansion.
  • Define a modular and configuration-driven solution framework for faster, low-cost market rollout.
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Deploy services to AWS cloud with Kubernetes (EKS) and manage production-grade environments.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Integrate DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines to streamline delivery and operations.
  • Explore AI-enhanced technologies such as intelligent agents and MCP server integration for advanced capabilities.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and foster a culture of iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to engineering standards across the team.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, including backend system design and implementation.
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem.
  • Solid experience in designing scalable APIs and data models for distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience in AWS services and Kubernetes (EKS) for microservice deployment.
  • Proven ability to lead technical decisions and deliver robust architecture in a global enterprise context.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in agile teams.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, and container orchestration platforms.
Nice to have:
  • Experience in financial services, especially financial planning platforms or investment products.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into enterprise solutions.
  • Prior experience working with multi-market platform rollouts or localization strategies.
