In this role, you will effectively create and execute a safe test lab environment, ensuring that safety and regulatory test methods align with appropriate standards. The position also requires partnering with the Quality Engineering team to review product test plans to ensure that in-house labs can execute tests and meet acceptance criteria. Applicants should excel in English writing and speaking. The ideal candidate also has the ability to travel as needed.A day on the job looks like this:
  • Align test procedures with standardized methods (ASTM, BIFMA, etc.)
  • Communicate complex testing requirements and methods to a broad and diverse audience
  • Analyze test results to summarize product performance against testing requirements
  • Maintain a library of test methods/protocols to ensure consistency and repeatability of all in-house testing
  • Coach and train RD&D team on appropriate testing standards to enable alignment of product design and product performance expectations
  • Partner with peers in RD&D to provide input on quality process enhancements and evolutions
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Engineering teams to develop meaningful and relevant tests to meet product expectations
  • Collaborate with Product Integrity and Compliance teams
  • Follow Lakeshore's testing standards in the House Test Lab
  • Strong team communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on executing quality testing and ensuring the IHL capabilities and capacity meet business needs
QualificationsGot the skills and experience? Here's what we're looking for:
  • Minimum technical secondary school degree or above, with a certain foundation in English (proficiency in listening and reading)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, English or Quality Management Experience encouraged; master's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of lab testing experience
  • Sharp English-language communication skills
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Professional ethics encouraged
