- Own the full R2R process for HK and Macau, managing day-to-day accounting, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities with precision and timeliness.
- Prepare accurate and compliant statutory financial statements under HKFRS, MFRS, and IFRS, along with insightful analysis for in-house brand finance team.
- Manage critical accounting areas including intercompany reconciliations, lease accounting (IFRS 16), and accruals, ensuring all balances are fully substantiated.
- Serve as the first line of defense for financial controls, maintaining and enhancing the internal control framework to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
- Act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external audits for your entities, facilitating a smooth audit process through organized documentation and clear explanations.
- Proactively monitor regulatory changes in HK and Macau, ensuring our accounting practices remain fully compliant.
- Collaborate closely with in-house brand finance in HK/Macau to resolve discrepancies, clarify transactions, and align on accounting treatments.
- Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives within the R2R cycle, leveraging SAP (FICO) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
- Actively contribute to cross-functional finance projects, including system enhancements, new accounting standard implementations, and the integration of new business activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, HKICPA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in luxury retail, retail, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
- In-depth, practical knowledge of HKFRS/MFRS and IFRS is essential.
- Mandatory proficiency in SAP (FI/CO modules); experience with S/4HANA is a significant plus.
- Analytical & Detail-Oriented: You possess strong analytical skills with an unwavering attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in complex reconciliations and reports.
- Effective Communicator: Excellent command of written and spoken English is required to collaborate with all stakeholders. Proficiency in Cantonese is a strong advantage for liaison with HK/Macau teams.
