Senior Level | Reports to Engineering ManagerAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Reliability Manager to lead maintenance and reliability activities in a major manufacturing facility in Dalian. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and the drive to improve equipment reliability and plant performance. The successful candidate will manage a team, coach and mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance best practices.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure workforce safety awareness, manage safe work practices, and support production teams in safety analysis and investigations.
- Lead, mentor, and coach the reliability/maintenance team, driving performance through the use of Up Time Elements and other tools.
- Implement and sustain best practices in housekeeping and jobsite orderliness with a focus on machine ownership.
- Analyze costs of reliability and maintenance activities, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value.
- Participate in daily production meetings, supporting safety, quality, reliability, and equipment availability goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability by reducing MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
- Ensure compliance with Preventive Maintenance programs aligned with production needs.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 710 years of experience in maintenance and/or engineering, including 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of equipment design, project engineering, project management, and computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP-PM).
- Solid understanding of industrial equipment, predictive maintenance, and planning/scheduling best practices.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, ideally with a Servant Leader mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the courage and decisiveness to take ownership and make impactful decisions.
- English fluency required.
- Experience in the tire industry or rubber-related manufacturing.
