Early Career Programme (ECP) Fall 2025 - Event Management, Greater China (6-month contract)The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. Forum Beijing Office is registered as an NGO in China.The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.As part of the Centre for Regions, Trade and Geopolitics (CRTG), the team in Beijing manages the Forum’s overall engagement with government and public sector institutions in Greater China.Reporting Lines & InteractionsThe role will be based in the World Economic Forum’s Beijing Representative Office, reporting to the Event Management Lead.Scope of Responsibilities:EventAssist in Annual Meeting (AM26) China related events coordination (remotely) - Dalian Night, China Night, and other activities that Beijing office would like to organize during AM.Support Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC26) event operations, including but not limited to-Communicate with AMNC host city organizing committee-Coordinate with AMNC host city venue teams-Translate relevant bilateral documents: MoU, agreement, etc.-Co-lead certain sub-project when required capacities are demonstratedHandle staff & meeting agenda and logistics of site visits to AMNC host citiesSupport Beijing Office Event (in-person, virtual and hybrid) management, coordination and delivery: work across teams to understand event objectives and expectations, and coordinate among relevant internal and external sides to ensure smooth delivery.Provide consultancy and service reservation assistance for Beijing Office staff regarding third-party or co-hosted events delivery out of the officeFacilitate vendor management and new vendor searchingSupport weekly all-hands meeting and maintain relevant meeting equipmentProgrammeDo some program-related communication with AMNC host city.Do some research to help identify star academic and thought leaders in China.Help manage and retain relationship with academics.Preferred Requirements and ExperienceFull-time graduate student, major is not restrictedPassionate about events management and operationsElementary knowledge on project managementDemonstrated ability to work in cross-culture environmentCapable of multiple-tasking and prioritize tasksExcellent in both oral and written English and MandarinTechnical experiences in Zoom will be a plusPositive-thinking, service-oriented attitude, and detail-orientedAble to work under pressure in a fast-paced and challenging environmentPreferred start date: between September 15 and October 15,2025Why work at the Forum:The Forum believes that progress happens by bringing together people from all walks of life who have the drive and the influence to improve the state of the world by building awareness and cooperation, shaping mindsets and agendas, and driving collective action.
