Job descriptionBI & Visualisation Design prepare mock-ups for Dashboards, defining the best layout for the data based on requirements. Experience is required in adopting user centric design methods to make data easy to consume for users and specialist knowledge of layout/design is best depending on the BI tools being used and their limitations. This includes the ability to facilitate workshops with technical and non-technical audiences.
Data and Analytics Professionals at HSBC have responsibility for executing our HSBC Data Strategy.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.In this role, you will:Their responsibilities are threefold:
1. Recognising data as an asset to HSBC by managing Data Risk and ensuring we are compliant with our Data standards and policies;
2. Using analytics and data science to unlock the value of our data; and
3. Implementing and maintaining our Data Technologies.
Data and Analytics Professionals are geographically dispersed and aligned to the Global Businesses / Global Functions or Regions. Work involves aggregations, deliver BI and reporting solutions by using tools such as QuickBI, Qlik.RequirementsTo be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • A minimum of 1-3 years proven experience, marketing and/or database management experience or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with personal computer as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages or equivalent, including experience in Quick BI/Qlik/Tableau
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills are required, including the capacity to articulate the case for information management in the language of business.
  • Ability to independently assume responsibility and complete tasks.
  • Working across all levels of the organization to understand cross-functional linkages and interdependencies, as well as the implications of information and data management risk at both a strategic level and at the business unit level.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex business requirements.
