- Manage end-to-end import and export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
- Ensure full compliance with Chinese customs regulations, international trade laws, and company policies
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to facilitate timely shipments
- Analyze and optimize shipping routes, carriers, and logistics costs to improve operational efficiency
- Monitor and track shipments throughout the supply chain, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of all import/export transactions for audit and compliance purposes
- Resolve customs issues, delays, and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
- Negotiate terms with vendors, carriers, and service providers to achieve cost savings
- Analyze trade data and generate reports on import/export performance and trends
- Train and mentor junior staff on import/export procedures and best practices
- Stay current with changes in international trade regulations and customs requirements
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and finance teams to support business objectives
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in import/export operations or international trade
- Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classifications, and HS codes
- Proficiency with import/export documentation and procedures
- Strong understanding of Chinese customs processes and Shenzhen trade regulations
- Experience with logistics management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and prepare detailed reports
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin Chinese proficiency is preferred
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing vendor and carrier relationships
- Knowledge of international trade agreements and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
