- Acts as University Recruiter, who has experience and excitement in attracting and hiring the most suitable new college graduates; who has a firm understanding of full-cycle university recruitment (strategy, process, roles & responsibilities, schedules, metrics, ‘go-to-market’ methodology / approach) to address hiring demands for graduates
- Runs university recruitment as Program Manager & contributes to university relations by initiating and / or participating projects on the country and the global levels. It requires specialized depth and / or breadth of expertise in program management to lead and to influence without direct authority within the team, to interpret internal demands and internal/external challenges; to recommend scaled talent acquisition practices; to solve complex problems independently under most circumstances and to take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions through program.
- Hires graduates and early career professionals for a variety of Business Units and roles, ranging from engineering, operations, to specialized job functions
- Owns full-cycle university recruitment, including understanding graduates’ motivators, attracting, screening, presenting diverse graduates slates to hiring managers, facilitating selection process, extending offers, closing hires, and preparing for onboarding
- Develops and executes university recruitment strategies to ensure graduate hiring targets are achieved while building brand awareness for future hires
- Creates superior candidate experience from virtual and on-site recruiting events through onboarding initiatives
- Hands on with recruiting marketing – creating and customizing local templates in compliance with global branding guidelines for use internally and externally
- Represents / advocates Applied Materials at target universities in job fairs, networking sessions, and diversity events to build awareness and to influence early talent to start their career at Applied Materials
- Collaborates with the business as Talent Advisor by consulting and guiding throughout the full university recruiting cycle
- Explores the market best practices in university recruitment and implements appropriate best practices in the organization
- Reports progress on hiring goals and recruiting trends to the business and team regularly
- Ensures a high level of data integrity using the online systems & tools
- Collaborates with the global University Recruitment team occasionally for enablement, knowledge and / or best practice sharing
- Leads university recruitment initiatives, scopes projects /programs then manages against budget and timelines for quality outputs
- Utilizes university recruitment budget within given targets; monitors and provides inputs to improve and streamline university recruitment processes to be more cost-effective on the scale
- Spearheads people and process projects that enable university recruitment to be operated at scale more productively
- Builds awareness & influences businesses internally on the necessity and advantages of hiring early career talents
- Maintains, enhances and explores sustainable relationship with target universities to achieve the aligned goal – and to position Applied Materials as an employer of choice for target graduates
- Utilizes/ leverages / develops relationships with outside vendors to get market intelligence for the business to make the right decision
- Works with other staff without direct authority to maximize productivity for the project / program effectively
- Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate
- Talent Acquisition: TA Leaders / Managers, Sourcer, other Recruiters, global University Recruitment team
- Internally: Hiring Managers, Business Unit Leaders, Total Rewards, HR Partners, HR Shared Services (TA Ops in particular), Communications & Public Affairs, Learning & Development, Indirect Purchasing
- Externally: job board / social media vendors, colleges & universities, industry association
- Recommends allocation of budget, manages and reports project/program budgets
- Develops and maintains relationship with target universities; pitches Applied Materials as destination employer on campus; recommends partnership and engagement activities
- Maintains external vendor and internal relationships with Communications & Public Affairs
- Proactively identifies opportunity for process improvement; adopts and promotes new best practices (from internal and external sources) to solve low / medium problems / issues
- Acts as a mentor / go-to person: to engage with and coach Sourcer, TA Ops to best support university recruitment
- Presentation of diverse slates of graduates (female) on all graduate reqs

- 10+ Years of direct university recruitment and / or university relations experience
- Any experience with the semiconductor industry or engineering roles / terminology a big plus
