- Build and maintain relationships with assigned customers, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any immediate needs or issues.
- Attend meetings and visit customer sites to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance their experience in order to achieve sales targets.
- Identify new opportunities and upskilling potential within existing accounts, providing insights and recommendations to management and senior colleagues.
- Assist the team with developing sales plans, presentations and reports, shaping revenue goals, driving sales forecasting and supporting regional decision-making.
- Support the forecasting process by providing input based on customer interactions and sales data, maintaining awareness of market trends and competitor activity, and sharing relevant information with the broader team.
- Collaborate effectively with other Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless service delivery by tracking sales activities, monitoring client orders and ensuring timely arrival of products.
- Generate and analyze sales reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Use and comply with appropriate sales processes (SFDC, CCP, FCST, DD, etc.)
- 5-10 years of working experience in food, chemicals, or industrial ingredients, with a proven track record in specialty ingredient sales management. Technical background is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field. A combination of technical (Chemical/Food Science) and business education is preferred.

- Strong business analytical skills to identify market trends, drive strategic decisions, and optimize sales performance, and solid experience at value added selling.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally, managing internal and external key stakeholder relationships and executing commercial strategies.
- Accountable for own targets and reviewing work of juniors.
- Strong understanding of the policies, objectives, operations and related activities within a Sales & Account Management of the assigned Category. Specialist knowledge in the end-to-end sales process and broad knowledge of several related disciplines.
- Strong communication skills to persuade and influence assigned key accounts. The role needs to adapt styles, interpret and explain information to differing audiences from inside and outside the organization who are not familiar with the subject matter.
- Ability to collaborate with a team of Sales & Account Management professionals well, driving the team to meet targets.
- Good problem-solving skills for customer issues that can be complex or unusual requiring original thought, research, new approaches and analytical techniques.
- Proven ability to significantly influence the sub-regional and category outcomes through effective decision-making for assigned team.
- Provides guidance on applying existing principles and contributes insights to the development of new policies and strategies.
