Senior Service Engineer (Marine) (Ref: KHXXXX)
The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting and
repair of Marine Generators. Qualified candidates should have hands-on experience
with assembly and repair of Marine Generators, and/or familiar with marine electronics
and automation systems. The successful candidate will report to the Manager –
Aftermarket & Service Training. He/She will have frequent contact with all
departments including US counterparts, EMEA counterparts, China counterparts and
employees in Southeast Asia offices and will also have external business relationships
with regional distributors and customers.The Job
Standby support and 24/7 emergency call for customer support.
Provide after-sales technical support, site recovery and maintenance service
responsibilities to distributors/end customers.
Provide the installation, commissioning and on-site training to support the
customers according to the scope of the project.
Generate a service report to customer in a systematic manner.
Investigate and handle all customers’ complaints related to product failures.
Investigates root causes of failures and recommend solutions.
Review and assist in determining the extent of damage and repairs of warranty
claims from distributors.
Maintain close working relationships with key customers to ensure excellent follow-
through until the issue is resolved.
Develop service training materials, ensuring all technical and training documents
are up-to-date and organized.
Provide distributors and dealers with specific training on service and
troubleshooting skillsets, ensuring their provision of service at the optimum level.
The Candidate
Diploma/degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of
relevant experience
Prior electrical and control experience with various control systems (John Deere
ECU and KDI ECU) and synchronization systems will be advantageous.
Candidates with equivalent professional background will be considered
Prepared for a fair amount of traveling in the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia
Region
A team player with strong problem-solving skills and task-oriented Possesses strong customer-service orientation, enthusiasm for power-generation
products, electrical and control systems
