Develop and introduce new process technologies. Devise strategies to evaluate and assess new process technologies that allow for introduction of new product innovations to the market
Work with a team to complete feasibility assessment of ideas, provide technical leadership to define the scope of work and identify alternate process technologies. This may require estimating potential investment opportunities and evaluation of prospective scale up partners.
Lead the polymer process/product scale-up, process optimization, commercial-scale trials, respectively
Create cost savings through process optimization and develop innovative solutions to operational improvement ideas.
Participates in the development, testing, qualification and scale-up of product formulations including development of project plans and timelines, and execution of project plans.
Provide technical expertise, using established trouble shooting techniques, to solve complex process and material related manufacturing issues
Document research work in internal technical reports, patent disclosures and external publications in a timely manner. Qualifications:
Master's degree or above in chemical Engineering, Polymer, Materials Science and Engineering, or related field, with
5 years of industrial experience is required.
Demonstrated experience in chemical scale up and new process technology implementation.
Experience in oral care and personal care would be a plus
Advanced understanding and knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis tools (Minitab, etc.), and design of experiments (DOE)
Good interpersonal and communication skills both in English and Chinese.
Ability to manage time, resources effectively in an R&D environment.
