This nursery in Hangzhou is on the campus of their large international school which covers over 74,000 square meters and hosts a range of custom built, state-of-the-art facilities that provide pupils with access to the very best academic and co-curricular opportunities. The Nursery building is self-contained and provides customised facilities for children in an Early Years setting. They offer a first-class bilingual education for children aged 2-6 years old. They follow the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum guided by the Chinese Statements on Early Years education.They are looking for an experienced Reggio Emilia Approach Atelierista with special qualifications in art education, to join them in August 2024. The atelierista brings a unique set of artistic expertise to the learning community by expanding and deepening the ideas of young children through a breadth of media and materials. The role is seen as that of an artist. The atelierista oversees the atelier, which is a large, well-equipped art studio within the nursery that offers a place for children to become masters of all kinds of techniques, such as painting, drawing, working with light and shadows, and modelling clay; it also helps teachers understand how children invent autonomous vehicles of expressive and cognitive freedom. The atelierista helps the other teachers and the children to organise and carry out large ongoing projects as well as smaller independent activities.Candidates should be appropriately qualified with the following education, skills and experience:

a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree/relevant teaching qualifications and certificates. Major in Arts or Arts Management or Arts Psychology/Early Childhood Education.
At least 2 years of experience with the Reggio Emilia Approach.
Familiarity with bilingual early years education a plus.
