This is done by professionally conducting trainings for Axis customers in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan market, implementing new material from HQ and localizing it with relevant examples from the region.
In addition to this, the Trainer will drive the requests and wishes from the region towards the Academy team and together with them work on new modules and lab examples.
The trainer should develop and head trainings in classrooms, webinars and in small demo-cases at trade shows.
The trainer should be IP surveillance knowledge provider to provide “technical marketing” support as needed.
Extensive travelling is needed for this role.What you’ll do here as a Regional Trainer?
- Deliver professional, up-to-date training programs including Axis Academy courses, customized sessions, webinars, and trade show demos.
- Initiate, coordinate, and host webinars on Axis products and solutions tailored to regional audiences.
- Promote Axis training offerings internally (Sales Engineers, KAMs, Marketing, Inside Sales) and externally (partners, customers).
- Collaborate with the Global Training team and regional Council representatives to enhance Axis’ training portfolio, providing feedback and contributing to the development and localization of training materials.
- Manage classroom training facilities or identify suitable external venues for in-person sessions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for training-related matters within the region.
- Support the implementation of the Axis Certification Program when appropriate.
- Engage actively in the global Axis trainer community.
- Stay informed on industry developments, regional trends, and regulatory changes related to video surveillance.
- Provide technical marketing support to reinforce Axis’ position as a knowledge leader in IP surveillance.
- Minimum 7 years of technical experience, with at least 3 years in a training or instructional role.
- Strong proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, with the ability to conduct both business and technical communication.
- Solid understanding of IP networks, camera technologies, image quality, and traditional surveillance systems—technical expertise should be comparable to a Sales Engineer.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging and motivating diverse audiences.
- Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to adapt and customize training content based on audience needs.
- Passionate about teaching, open-minded, and a collaborative team player with experience in multinational environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China.
