
Regional Marketing Director – APAC

- Provide market insight on competitive analysis, value chain positioning and customer segmentation to support strategic growth initiatives with Strategic Marketing
- Facilitate macroeconomic index and market segment assumption through integrated business planning (IBP process) process
- Collaborate Strategic Marketing and global functional teams on 5-year plan development
- Take key responsibility on 0-2 years segmental marketing strategy development and set governance on the execution with regional leadership team
- Able to assess the market potential based on the sales opportunities to replicate the success growth stories to broader markets
- Collaborate with sales and BD team on growth pipeline building
- Drive regional commercialization of innovative projects, measure commercialization ratio and drive for improvement; govern project selection and progression; drive project management improvement
- Authorize the introduction of new products / SKUs via NPI process, ensure market launch efficiently and well aligned with Global team
- Coordinate go-to-market activities by collaborating with commercial, R&D, TS/PD, supply chain and operation team
- Maximize gross margin by product portfolio management, ensure product life cycle paired with market trend, global strategy and ensure portfolio compliance (e.g., ITC, REACH registration, labeling, etc.)
- Work closely with purchasing to understand cost evolution, push for cost improvement; work closely with sales and supply chain on portfolio structure optimization in terms of cost, profit and inventory holding
- Redirect resources to capitalize on emerging opportunities with regional commercial teams
- Harvest profits while planning discontinuation.
- Lead regional pricing strategy together with global pricing team, to ensure pricing fit into business strategy and market competitiveness
- Take agile responding to changeable market in conjunction with commercial team and 360 strategy execution leaders
- Work on pricing battle with commercial team and track pricing performance
- Work with global pricing function to lift regional pricing level from operational pricing to strategical pricing
- Ensure the regional pricing process efficiency and effectiveness
- Manage promotional activities with communication team including digital, web, webinars, exhibitions, launches, media etc
- Support commercial team in major promotional activities including product qualification
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science/Engineering or any business discipline is preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years of B2B marketing experience in a leadership role in marketing, product management, or managing projects is required
- A strong understanding of marketing, sales and financial concepts. Extensive knowledge of the specialty chemical industry and some of the downstream markets. Ability to inspire, focus and coach a geographically dispersed and multicultural team.
