You will play a pivotal role in growing our Banking & Payments capability in Hong Kong and across Asia, working directly with senior clients on complex, high-impact transformation initiatives.This is a hands-on leadership role combining client delivery, practice growth, and people leadership with the freedom to shape solutions, build relationships, and grow a team around you.The RoleAs a senior leader in our Banking & Payments practice, you will:
- Lead large-scale banking and payments transformation programs for leading financial institutions across Hong Kong and Asia
- Originate and grow client relationships, identifying opportunities and converting them into tangible revenue
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, shaping strategy and driving execution
- Bring innovative, pragmatic solutions to challenges across payments, corporate & investment banking, and capital markets
- Build and mentor high-performing teams, developing the next generation of consulting leaders
- Play a key role in practice strategy, build capability, and market positioning
- 10+ years' experience in management consulting, ideally from a leading global consultancy
- Strong SME expertise in Banking and/or Payments (e.g. Corporate & Investment Banking, Payments, Securities, Capital Markets)
- Deep understanding of the Hong Kong banking market and regulatory environment
- Proven track record of originating work, growing accounts, and building sustainable revenue streams
- Experience leading complex, multi-workstream transformation programs
- Strong end-to-end problem-solving capability, including:
- Defining and structuring complex problems
- Requirements definition (business, functional, user stories, process, technology architecture)
- Prioritisation, capacity planning, and delivery governance
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis of operational and financial data
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate credibly at C-suite / ExCo level
- Comfortable leading teams without relying on formal hierarchy
- Strong project and program leadership skills, including:
- Managing workstreams and senior team members
- Communicating status, risks, and outcomes to senior management
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models (PRINCE2 knowledge a plus)
- Excellent communication skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin are highly beneficial
