- Four-year degree from an accredited university
- Bachelor of Education, PGCE, Teaching license: QTS, national/state teaching license/certificate, or equivalent
- Three years of experience teaching English Language Arts in a bilingual school, international school, or government/state school
- Plan, develop, and deliver engaging and comprehensive ELA lessons aligned with international curriculum standards.
- Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, including technology integration and inquiry-based learning, to enhance student understanding.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages student curiosity, creativity, and a love for literature and writing.
- Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, supporting their academic growth and confidence in reading and writing.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and maintain consistency in ELA instruction across grade levels.
- Stay current with developments in ELA education and integrate best practices into the classroom.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, school-wide initiatives, and departmental meetings.
- Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and learning experiences.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and provide detailed feedback on student academic performance.
- Engage in extracurricular activities, literary clubs, and school events to enrich student experiences beyond the classroom.
- Competitive base yearly salary and promotion system: $55K - $65K plus bonus plus pension per year
