- Data Centre Infrastructure Operations:
- Ensure optimal performance, availability, and efficiency of all DC systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities within the data center environment.
- Implement and enforce DC policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry standards and internal controls.
- Server & Systems Management:
- Monitor system performance, perform tuning, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Coordinate firmware and OS patching activities according to the change management process.
- Lead efforts in data backup, restoration, and disaster recovery drills.
- Data Centre Operations & Projects:
- Support physical installations and decommissions of server and storage hardware.
- Maintain accurate and updated DC documentation including rack layouts, equipment inventories, and configuration records.
- Support & Escalation:
- Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation and respond promptly to incidents and service outages.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware support and maintenance activities.
- Process & Compliance:
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and automation in DC operations.
- Ensure data center operations comply with corporate security standards, safety regulations, and audit requirements.What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a critical IT service delivery and support environment.
- Strong working experience in Data Centre infrastructure operations and engineering.
- Proven expertise in server administration (performance tuning, capacity planning, firmware updates, and recovery).
- Deep knowledge of DC backup and recovery procedures, solutions, and tools.
- Experience with DC migrations, expansions, and hardware lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of IT operational frameworks, particularly ITIL.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in parallel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and working in cross-functional technical teams.
- Project management experience with the ability to lead small to medium DC projects.
