We offer a collegial culture, challenging projects, and excellent compensation and benefits.Job SummaryThe position objective is to design and implement video capture and playback technologies and provide support to internal and external customers such as OEMs and SoC vendors. The employee possesses skills relevant to video processing, from implementation to optimization on software, and GPU & DPU implementation, to testing and quality assurance. The employee is capable of both independent and team-oriented work modes, self-motivating and communicating effectively with peers, supervisors, other business units, and customers.Responsibilities:

Create and develop video algorithms for mobile phone capture and playback.
Prototype new video algorithms and work with the team to ensure all algorithms are fit-for-purpose and compatible with existing video signal chains.
Port research algorithm to mobile phone or embedded platforms by using approximation or optimization methodology.
Utilize the eye as a test tool; identify and classify video signal processing issues.
Design and conduct subjective tests to verify video processing algorithms.

Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable field.
3+ years' experience in video processing technologies development.
3+ years programming experience in Java/C++.
Independent, self-motivated person requiring minimal supervision.
Fluent English communication in reading and writing.

Desirable experience and skills

Background in video codec technologies, such as avc/hevc/av1/.
