- Oversee accounting and financial analysis activities, and ensure legal compliance with all external reporting requirements.
- Manage end-to-end costing transaction activities and related accounting practices for the group’s sub-ledgers. Ensure accounting records are prepared and maintained in line with Cabot’s global standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Lead the consolidation of data to prepare required government reports.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes—guaranteeing accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, while proactively identifying financial or business-related issues.
- Support the Plant Finance Manager in preparing and communicating forecasts, analyses, budgets, and other financial information.
- Assist the Plant Finance Manager in SOX implementation and propose recommendations for process improvements.
- Track and follow up on cost reduction projects.
- Support and review the Tax Accountant’s tax filings to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage team members and provide guidance to direct subordinates.
- Provide other support to the Plant Finance Manager as needed.
- Expertise in accounting and financial principles, with the ability to apply these in a business context.
- Strong understanding of local statutory and tax accounting, as well as reporting requirements.
- Ability to build trust and secure support from stakeholders across the organization.
- Proficiency in monitoring and managing team performance, plus experience in developing subordinates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education/Experience
o Minimum eight years’ experience in accounting/financial area, 2 years’ experience in management position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
