  • Lead Securities Financing Repo IT PODs.
  • Work closely with the product owner to ensure work is prioritised to ensure IT systems / products are maintained and fast and accurate delivery of new functionality and improvements as required.
  • Be responsible for production stability and own the triage support model for the application.
  • Contribute and make strategic decisions that affect the design and architecture of Repo IT platform.
  • Technically competent and up to date with the latest technology trends, tools and solutions, with a specific focus on cloud and micro service based technology.
  • Oversee small / medium / large scale projects associated with your specific business area and function.
  • Maintain continuous communication with the global teams to ensure collaborative development, reviews and strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with the wider Securities Financing organisation to share ideas, promote experimentation and innovation.
  • Drive and be pro-active to support and encourage a successful engineering culture across the team and wider Securities Financing organisation.
Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience as a technical development manager and consultant specialist.
  • Strong technical background, with a deep understanding of Java micro service and database / cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of designing and developing responsive UI components is definitely a plus.
  • Experience leading a development team, showing strong leadership skills and a desire to develop and empower teams.
  • Effective and confident communicator with a proven ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Prior experience of working in Investment Banking Equities and Fixed Income products would be a plus.
  • Being accountable and responsible for both people and applications / systems.
  • Managing critical production incidents.
  • Strong problem solver with a desire to work with business and product teams to continually improve and innovate.
  • Appreciation of agile software delivery practices and knowledge of DevOps.
